Carhartt Women’s Sherpa Mitten

These mittens are my go to when the temperatures drop. They are incredibly affordable as well as very durable for their price point. They feature super soft micro fleece type insulation which is fast drying and helps to wick moisture which is great for those days where it’s just cold enough when the wind blows. The mitten also features a synthetic glove and thumb area to help with grip which is fantastic. My one issue with these mittens is that the sherpa is not waterproof so they aren’t great in the snow. Recommend.

SEALSKINZ Windproof Convertible Mitt

Best Hiking Monopod – Expert Recommendations

These are the best convertible mittens ever made in my opinion. They are windproof which is a huge plus, especially when up on a mountain. They have a goatskin leather hand area which is great for grip. They are also super durable and I love the convertible design of them, these mitts are perfect if I’m taking pictures on a trail or temperatures start to rise on a hike. The mitt part also has a magnet in it so that when you fold it back, it stays folded and doesn’t get in the way.

Arc’teryx Venta Mitten

Best Hiking Monopod – Expert Recommendations

Arc’teryx is legendary for their foul weather and cold weather gear and these mittens live up to that expectation. They are great for morning hikes or trail runs, and their GORE-TEX fabric is incredibly breathable yet also warm. The mittens are micro fleece lined and they keep my hands warm when temperatures reach their coldest. One of my favorite parts about this mitten is that they have a sensor in the thumb that allows the use of smartphone. They also have some rubber on the mid-hand area to help with grip. Highly Recommend.
