The Best Ways to Clear Your Chakras
We have been wanting to find out the best ways to clear those little energy blockages that we so often accumulate in day to day life. We went ahead and spoke to some professionals and found out exactly what chakras are (and why they’re important) and how to cleanse and clear them. This article is compiled with their words of wisdom and advice on the best things that you can do to clear your chakras today.
What are Chakras?
Chakras are spinning wheels of energy centres that are located in your body, according to Buddhist and Hindu philosophy. Each centre is associated with a specific organ, endocrine system, emotional reaction, and spiritual concerns as an individual. When these energy centres are overactive or underactive, individuals can experience concerns in their daily life, like being domineering or bossy over their friends, being afraid to take trips to new places, physical manifestations of disease like hyperthyroidism, or even feeling lost and not being able to complete daily tasks in their life as a result of stress and anxiety.
The lower three chakras are considered masculine in nature and call us to action. They help to ground us and are usually concerned with the material world. The higher three chakras are feminine in nature and are associated with self-reflection and the spiritual aspects of life. The heart chakra is balanced in masculine and feminine energy and can help to balance other chakras.
For each of the centres that are found within our physical body, there are some exercises that individuals can do daily or periodically to assist them with maintaining, clearing, and balancing an overactive/underactive chakra centre. Let’s take a look at a few and some examples of the benefits.
Each chakra is connected to a different colour, element, and function. Two ways to actively practice clearing your chakras daily would be to include the use colour therapy and/or crystals in your daily life. Each practice can be used individually or together to help you to become more balanced.

The Best Ways to Cleanse your Chakras
Cleansing Chakras with Water
This tip comes from someone that likes to cleanse their chakras every morning in the most natural way possible…
I do this exercise in the morning when I shower or enjoy nature by a waterfall, a stream, or the lake nearby home. You can imagine the water flowing through the fingers, washing out all negative energies. You will notice a tingling, light vibration, and an overall, more relaxed sense of well-being. Continue the process until you are confident that you are entirely energized. If you are with someone else, rinse your hand into a bowl of water after each chakra clears. Water is fluid, and the energy will just be released into the water without any effect on you or the nearby person.

Cleansing Chakras with Colours
This tip comes from a therapist that uses colours to determine which chakras need unblocking…
I use colour to determine which of your chakras are not balanced and we get to the root cause of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual blockages.
You can do it with other vibratory medicine, including colour, sound, fragrances and mantras. You can also do various yoga poses or activities to balance your chakras.

Clearing your Heart Chakra
This tip comes from a holistic expert that likes to use air to clear any blockages…
If you feel like you just can’t catch your breath or experience anxiety that sits in your chest, your heart chakra might be blocked. This chakra is associated with air which means that deep breathing and calming meditations can help to clear any blockages. Go for a drive with the windows down, or just spend some time in nature to allow your lungs to fill and relieve blockages to enhance feelings of self-love.

Cleansing your Solar Plexus
This tip comes from a holistic expert that likes to use essential oils for the solar plexus…
This chakra is seated around your rib cage and is the one that gives you feelings of personal power. Massage soothing essential oils like Lavender onto your abdomen area to relax this chakra and remove any blockages. You solar plexus chakra is associated with the element of fire so you could benefit from sitting in the sun or near a bonfire to nurture the chakra back into balance.
